Well my hair is fairly thin, but right when I get out of the shower, I put a towel around my hair to get out all of the extra water. Then, I blow dry it and after that use a flat Iron to straighten out the rest of it.

Tip: Always use a cream or spray that will protect your hair from the heat of the blow dryer and flat iron, so your hair won't get as damaged.

my hair is really thick and i always have to blow dry it and straighten it after i have washed it, i dry it with a ionic hair dryer but you have to use a heat protection spray. Then I use Kodo hair Straighteners on the hightest heat setting 210oc and there you go perfectly straight hair, and it last till you next wash your hair.

Just use a good flat iron with a heat dial that is turned up to 10. Straighten small sections at a time pulling kinda hard down on the hair. Use the flat iron on dry hair. It doesn't matter if it is air dried or blown dry.

let it airdry, then use a straightener on it and every 5 minutes straighten it 3 times

Towel dry and apply LOTS of silicon drops (every mfg. makes one). Use a large paddle brush to blow dry from the roots downward (the more pull the straighter the hair). Use a flattening gel (I like CHI brand or Super Stick Straight). Apply a shine spray after you are done (especially if you plan on using a flattening iron). This is how I do it in the salon.

Use stay in condition and comb out knots while conditioner is in.

Then dry hair and flat iron.

Then com again.

i know how you feel and my hair is really curly and thick so this is what i do. i would say go buy the new wet to straight iron ( $26 or so at walmart) and get a smoothing serum (frizzease $6) and aply the smoothing serum to wet or damp hair the follow the instructions for the flat iron based on your hairs dampness and then i say buy a finishing spray that prevents frizz ($6 or $7). it works really well for me

towel dry first then blow dry witha paddle brush then if its still not good enough get a flat iron. (take small sections ironing and blow drying w/ brush).

When I was a kid, they called it "creme rinse" (anyone remember the Tame Creme Rinse song?). I don't know if they make it anymore. But a super heavy-duty conditioner should help, or maybe a leave-in conditioner.
