How do you get rid of dandruff in thick hair?

home remedies and store bought shampoo please

How do you get rid of dandruff in thick hair?

I have the same problem. Try switching diffrent brands of shampoo every one or two weeks. Fungi that cause dandruffs get immune to the medication/drug added in the anti-dandruff shampoos after repeated exposure. I use Head%26amp; Shoulders. It works for me but after a long time of use, dandruff keeps coming back so I switch shampoo every other 2 weeks then go back to Head%26amp;Shoulder's again. Don't stick to one only brand.

Neutrogena Tar Shampoo is great. Just put a little all over your scalp and leave on for 30 min the first time you use it. Then wash it out and shampoo with the tar shampoo as you normally would. It stinks, but it really works.

There are many types of shampoos that you can use. Head and shoulders was recommended to my brother. It worked like a charm, and it works just as well with thich hair! GoodLuck! There are many other shampoo products, but I have found that they are usually over priced, and that they are not necessary.

How do you get rid of dandruff in thick hair?

There are lots of ways to overcome the annoying problem dandruff creates. I personally have long, thick hair that is almost black in color, so dandruff really shows up and everyone can see it if I don't take care of it. Here are some of the products I use:

Head and Shoulders shampoo: This stuff works! You have to be consistent, though. Washing your hair once with this stuff will not quickly clear up dandruff, but using the shampoo regularly will clear up the dandruff completely. If Head and Shoulders tangles your hair, also use Pantene Pro V conditioner to get out all the tangles.

Tea Tree Oil also works. You can take a few drops of it in your hands and rub it all over your head. Then, wash it out with regular shampoo (preferrably the Head and Shoulders shampoo) to clean and clense the scalp, leaving it feeling tingly and shiny. The tea tree oil can drastically clear up dandruff. You can find Tea Tree oil at Health Food stores.

Good luck!!

Maxi Glide has been sold on TV and works by steam. I know a couple friends who have very curly hair that use it and it works great, they love it.

Any suggestions on hair products for women with long, thick, naturally curly hair?

My hair is really long...but recently it has been frizzy and hard to manage. I like to wear it straight , but i have naturally thick and curly hair. Any suggestions on hair products i should use?

Any suggestions on hair products for women with long, thick, naturally curly hair?

I also have thick curly hair. When I want to wear it straight I use my chi shampoo, conditioner, and silk infusion and it works wonders on my hair. When my hair is straight you can't even tell I have naturally curly hair. But I wouldnt reccommend straightening it everyday. It's very harsh on thick hair. I only do it on special occasions. But if I want to wear my hair curly I use my Biolage shampoo, conditioner, and the leave in conditioner. It works good on curly hair. Hope this helps!

What are the best shampoos to use for thick hair and wanting to thin it?

wow! this is a first. someone actually wanting to make hair thinner. well, I don't know of any shampoo that can help you achieve that. don't even think they make any. but you can ask your hair stylist to chop off some of the excess hair to make it thinner.

and there's this line of hair products by Paul Mitchell, called Super Skinny. they actually claim that the products can make hair stands shrink and appear tighter. I don't know if that can help you.

What are the best shampoos to use for thick hair and wanting to thin it?

go to a solon and dethick it there is no other way

What are the best shampoos to use for thick hair and wanting to thin it?

try garnier frutise it smell really good and it makes your hair shiny and sleek it only costs around 2.00 dollars and you can find it at a local walmart or even a frys i love garnier.

What are the best shampoos to use for thick hair and wanting to thin it?

i think you shouldnt even thin it. i have thick hair and thats a good thing because then your hair wont fall out when your young or anything. but thats just my opinion. dont thin it please.

What are the best shampoos to use for thick hair and wanting to thin it?

G to a salon and ask, or use some of the heavy-duty cholorine shampoo, that strips the thickness out of your hair.

WARNING! If you do you Cholorine shampoo, only use it occasionally, or it will strip your hair.

What are the best shampoos to use for thick hair and wanting to thin it?

If you have a lot of volume in your hair, use a shampoo that is designed to straighten the hair. These shampoos take out a lot of volume and frizz and your hair ends up looking less poofy.

What are the best shampoos to use for thick hair and wanting to thin it?

Check out the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny line of products. I recommend the Shampoo, Daily Treatment (Conditioner), The Serum %26amp; Gloss Drops. These products actually make your hair strands smaller, so your hair appears smoother and softer.

The Shampoo %26amp; Daily Treatment (Condtioner) are pretty self expalinatory, but the Super Skinny Serum goes on the hair while it is wet and it will shrink the hair cutting the dry time by up to 60%. The Gloss Drops go on dry hair to smooth fly-aways. It is a great product to use f you flat iron or curl your hair. It will act as a barrier between your hair and the heat so that you don't do any unecessary damage or over-drying to your hair.

You will need to go to a professional salon to get these products as they are professional grade products. They are priced a bit higher than what you can get at the local drug store, but the extra money is worth it. Enjoy your new hair!

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Is one more manageable than the other? Just curious. :)

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

In between, not too thick or too thin.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

thick hair imo is harder to manage but I prefer it over thin hair =)

x3 LiiN3a x3

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

thin hair. you can come up with more hairstyles and you only have to use less hair products.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Of couse thin hair would be better to manage but I don't think anyone is better than the other.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

There are hairstyles for both. You can look good both ways. It really doesn't matter.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

thick hair thats what u want its healthy and beautiful,

it is easier to manage because your hair isnt dried out and brittle as it would be when its thin, ussally hair thins wiht over bleaching, and sun damage also heat styling can damage hiar so use a product like a thermal protector is you blow dry straghten or curl your hiar , ect.

hope it help my dear

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

My hair is verrry thick, but you know why i like it more that thin hair?... because you can do a lot more with it, and it wont look so week and yah well u know. you hav a lot more umpth, you wont have to buy things that will giv you more volume you can work with it.... and if you wanted it straight an stuff u can do it or visa versa... THICK IS BETTER!

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Being a hairdresser, I think thick-tressed gals have the advantage. If your hair is thick, you can get a texturized style to take the bulk out and make it manageable and easy to style. Thin hair, the only thing that will make it look thicker is volumizers, teasing, hairpieces, extensions, or a shorter do. So I think thick hair is more versatile, and also can be worked with more chemically. It can take a lot more stress than baby fine strands.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

I think that they both have there advantages/disadvantages!

People with thin hair can find it hard because thin hair, of course lacks volume, but you can try teasing, using a volumising spray/shampoo and conditioner the hair to give it more root lift and body! Or you can go and talk to your stylist about different cuts like layers or a blunt fringe!

People with thick hair usually have troubling with styling (e.g. straightning/curling) (I know I do). But you can also try different products and shampoos/conditioners and heat tools. But as I have thick hair I know the struggles, but my mum suggested to me that I get my hair thinned out, which really helps to take all that excess weight off, layers are also helpful!

Thanx

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

It's easier to thin out than to thicken, and thick hair has more natural body which looks really good when worn long.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

Thin / thick hair is a good question!!! You must be referring to the size of the hair itself. (coarse or fine) or are you referring to the amount of hair on the scalp. ( per square inch )?

Usually fine haired people have a lot of hair per square inch on their scalp. Fine hair is easier to manage butt.... it takes a lot more product to get fullness. This hair type usually falls flat sooner than thicker or (coarser) hair. Coarser hair can be thinned out to make the style. So in my opinion.... thicker hair is better. You can always take away but can't add hair. Hair extensions can be added for more fullness.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

I wouldnt nessessarily say one is more manageable that the other. I have insanely thick hair and it drives me bonkers. I have shaved the underside of my hair for 13 years because it is so heavy.

Is it better to have thin or thick hair?

doesn't matter at all..thin or thick as long as you give them enough care, that's what really matters.
